Not Sims related, but I had to reblog this due to the memories and the fact that I have actually, literally, been on the Internet since 1998.

Where to begin? The AOL log in screen (we would get free AOL CD-Roms EVERYWHERE, even inside cereal boxes), ICQ (I actually want to download the ICQ sound for my phone), Yahoo, ugly Geocities/Angelfire websites, guestbooks, TRIPOD, the connect to the Internet icon and the sound my modem made while doing that.  Memories…

Okay, I may have not been the one using the internet in 1998, but I still watched my dad use it. 

Anyone remember dial-up? My dad had this ultra edgy blog (some kinda spoopy goth junk) and he was so obsessed with running it, no one could use the phone for hours. We couldn’t even get the call notifying us my great grandfather passed away o~o

You whippersnappers are so lucky! Now you can use “the tumblrs” to make edgy blogs AND use your landline!

… Do people still use landlines? I mean, I do, but I live w my grandparents soooooooo >.>

Missing my original story hood

About 3 years ago I wanted to make an original sims story and I have a lot of shots for it in its own folder, but I haven’t played the hood, like, at all since starting San Myshuno.

It’s a story about the people living close-by to the creator of the Pleasantview TV show and their daily lives. It’s mostly lighthearted but it tackles a few more serious topics like eating disorders in athletics, finding out a loved one has HIV/AIDS, transitioning and how it affects everyday life, domestic abuse, losing your faith and leaving a religion, and bias/discrimination in education. 

I grew really attached to this story, but when San Myshuno started, I’ve played my old story hood less and less, and I wanted to know if anyone was interested in reading this original story? The original story would be hidden under readmores for the sake of those who just followed for premades. It would not take over San Myshuno, of course. I’m just looking for a reason to play one of my old favorite hoods.
