The @totallymaxis challenge at the moment is totally cute but I’m not sure what some people’s ships actually are, and thought a post like this might be good in case others had similar problems?

Dustin excitedly expresses his anticipation for the new babbu before Angela heads upstairs for a nap.
“Angie, I think we need a break from all this Renee stuff. It’s too much stress on you.”
“I really wish I could, but taking my mind off it won’t make anything better, would it?”
“Why not? We were teenagers once, too. Maybe she’ll grow out of it, like you grew out of your beef with your sister and I stopped helping the local burglars.”
“Dustin, we can’t just compare our child’s struggles to your past life of crime! I don’t think this is some kind of phase. This could be serious!”
“I’m not saying that, I’m just… I just want things to become alright.”
“I think, maybe, we ought to just take it one step at a time.”
“Yeah, one step at a time sounds good.”
“Sweetie?”
“Yeah?”
“I think I found our distraction.”
The Audition – Angela, Dustin, & Renee
“Hey kiddo!” Dustin was quick to greet his wife and daughter at the door. “How’d the audition go?”
“It was kinda boring, but the director was nice! He let me play Voidcritters while the other kids were reading the scripts, even though mom said he wouldn’t!” Renee was more excited about playing Voidcritters than the audition itself, but as long as she was content, her parents didn’t mind.
“Well, I am so proud of you! And you didn’t even get your dress dirty!”
“Yeah! ‘Cause mom said if I didn’t get my dress dirty at the audition, we can go to Sim Burger when we find out the results, whether I got the part or not!”
“I see…”
Dustin pulled Angela into a hug, so proud of their little girl.
“She was very well behaved.” Angela commented. “Kaylynn also set her up for a modelling photoshoot this Sunday.”
“That’s great!”
“Uh, mom? Can I get out of this dress? It’s itchy and I’m all sweaty!”
“Fine, but you look so pretty!”
“Nuh-uh. I’m ugly.”
“Now, who said that?”
With Renee’s birthday rapidly approaching, Angela and Dustin decided it was time to have another baby.
It was a success! 😉

One Over The Other – Dustin & Angela
“So, do you want to have a boy or a girl?”
As innocent of a question it was, Angela seems to be bothered by it.
“Why should it matter?” She asks. “We’ll still love him or her the same, right?”
“I know we will.” Dustin turns his head forward, keeping his eyes off his wife. “I just thought I’d ask.”
“Hey,” Angela’s voice softens, “don’t feel down about it.” She lowers her volume to a whisper. “I’m secretly hoping we have a girl. I’ve always loved the name Renee, after all.” She giggles.
“So you do have a preference!”
“Oh, hush! If we have a son, we never had this conversation.”
