Sims 4 Trait Pack: Not All Sunshine & Puppies – 5 Traits to decrease your sims’ happiness

WARNING: The in-game text I wrote… is kinda shit. I’m not good at this. If anyone with better skills at in-game text can help me write better descriptions, go ahead, please help.

TRAITS:

Alien Hater: 
“Alien Haters despise aliens and are disgusted by their very existence”
Features: ANGERY proximity buffs from both aliens AND sims who are pregnant from alien abductions!
Known Issues: There’s a hidden broadcaster in the files that’s supposed to make aliens tense, but it has not worked so far. If you find a sim tense with a new buff you’ve never seen before, hit me up, maybe we can find the solution together 😀
REQUIREMENTS: Get To Work (because aliens), the icon comes from Outdoor Retreat so let me know if that causes an issue!

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD): “Sims with SAD become depressed during the Fall and Winter months”
DISCLAIMER: This is a REAL LIFE disorder that I do have irl! It is not an in-depth SAD experience, but rather something to emulate the seasonal depression experience in the sims world! If you take issue with this, please know that each trait is a SEPARATE file, and I vow to never EVER merge trait files for these very reasons.
Features: Sad buff from the Fall & Winter seasons, provided it’s not terribly hot outside. Probably most useful anywhere but Oasis Springs.
Known Issues: Buffs/Loot acquired from Season and Temperature proximity take some time to show up when you first load up (all later loads will not have this problem), most of the time (sometimes it is fast), but it will appear within 1 sim day, so please be patient!!
REQUIREMENTS: Seasons

Hay Fever: “Sims with hay fever suffer throughout the Spring months”
Features: Uncomfortable buff during Spring, as well as one from “Give Rose” interaction, both cause coughing and sneezing.
Known Issue: SEE SAD TRAIT!! The “give rose” buff may or may not work; I have gotten very mixed results (and have honestly forgotten this feature existed), please contact me with your results! 
REQUIREMENTS: Seasons, Get To Work for the idle animations

Allergic to Cats/Allergic to Dogs: 

“Sims allergic to [cats/dogs] have a hard time being near [cats/dogs] without sneezing!”


DISCLAIMER: this is heavily based on IlkaVelle’s outdated Allergic To Fur trait, just with distinctions between species
Features: Uncomfortable buff around [cats/dogs], causes coughing and sneezing
REQUIREMENTS: Cats & Dogs, Get To Work for the idle animations

And now for something completely different

Since school has started, I have been quite busy, but story updates will be moving along more as soon as I get a chance to breathe :p

In the meantime, I would like to announce a side project: a set of new traits for Sims 4. I have 3 done and 1 in testing (curse these broadcaster buffs!) 

Once I have the 5th one done, I intend to release them. The goal of these traits are to add more opportunities for less 24/7 happy sims, giving them dislikes, flaws, etc.

Ok, so I made these HIV/AIDS awareness shirts for a story I’m working on (said story had its own blog, but I didn’t like it so I’ll probs just make a different blog to host it on) and for October, which is HIV/AIDS awareness month. These are about a year old and I wanted to upload these to MTS, but the previews got it rejected and the hood I made the preview in decided to become a BFBVFS (not really, but it was very uncooperative!)
